Festival Details

The Central City Opera presents this one-day poetry festival, in historic Central City, to celebrate the growing resurgence of poetry worldwide!

Nestled in the Colorado Rocky Mountains (a short drive from Downtown Denver), our guests will enjoy the posh and antique environs of Historical Central City, Colorado. Entertain your inner Muse by perusing the halls of the Teller House: a charming old-west hotel hosting poets, publishers, and artists offering books, goods, and fellowship. Explore Eureka Street and enjoy the Central City Opera House (guided tours only), the Gilpin County Art Museum, and the arbor courtyard hosting open mics and our local food vendor.

Ticket Details

A GENERAL ADMISSION TICKET Includes Access to:

1. Vendor booths and poetry signings.

2. The open mic courtyard.

3. Workshops and Lectures by poets, educators, and publishers.

4. Meet our Keynote Poet (Khadijah Queen), during a book-signing and meet & greet session. 2 pm - 3 pm.

A VIP TICKET

1. All-access included in the GA Ticket -- and

2. A seat for the 2019 CCPF Poetry Reading - Enjoy local and world-famous poets read their finest work at the intimate William's Stables Theater: an old-west horse stable converted to a theater in the round. Musical accompaniment laces the performance together from poet to poet. 3:15 pm - 4:45 pm.

3. Keynote Poet Address. Khadijah Queen will read her work, give the Keynote Address, and answer questions from patrons. 4:45 pm - 5:30 pm.
